Donald Trump, the 47th president of the United States, was sworn in on Monday the 20th. Taking his oath of office given by Chief Justice John Roberts. Due to the cold, this was held within the capitol building with the overflow crowd seeping into the Capitol One arena for a live viewing event. While there is not an official estimate of the crowd due to the heated debates between politicians forming on the size of crowds it appears to be in the best interest.
During the ceremony, a clear demonstration of the connection between Donald Trump and the tech giant Elon Musk. Many of the World's biggest celebrities including Carrie Underwood, Joe Rogan, Dana White, Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, Sundar Pichal, Elon Musk, Wayne Gretzky, and many more attended.
Stating in his inaugural address that we will be entering, “the golden age of America” and that, “our country will flourish." In this address, we get a clear target of what he intends to accomplish within the next four years. Starting off as expected on the topic of immigration, declaring a “... national emergency at our southern border.” He will claim to end foreign gangs causing harm to the American government. He will also take a stance to focus on the energy needs of the country and plans to, “drill, baby, drill,” in hopes that this will solve the inflation crisis and will have the US as the main source for energy being able to export it to other countries. He will also try to, “end the Green New Deal and we will revoke the electric vehicle mandate.” Finally, he referred to the tariffs which had played a crucial role in his campaign strategy. He will thus advocate for the promotion of free speech, attempting to eliminate government censorship. Although, following this he stated, “official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders; male and female." Also, he wants to rename many geographic areas. Renaming the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America, and revert Mount Denali’s name to Mount McKinley.
