With the recent release of the AP college football playoff picture, there is some concern growing that this 12-team playoff picture will consist of none of the usual powerhouses like the Alabama Crimson Tide and the UGA Bulldogs. The current playoff picture having them listed as #9 for the Crimson Tide and #11 for the Bulldogs is causing some concerns that schools such as Oregon, Ohio State, Penn State, and Indiana all B1G Ten schools will consist of most of the 12 team playoff bracket with the only expected contenders from the SEC being Texas and Tennessee. Some predictions of the playoff bracket include the likes of the West Point military academies Army Black Knights, SMU, and CU Boulder. while many of these predictions are unlikely they could still happen. the major concern this year is the amount of B1G ten teams involved in the CFB playoff brackets and how bowl games would work. if they work the 12-team playoff bracket like the 8-team bracket then only two teams could compete for the B1G ten title and then move onto the national championship run. if that is the case then how will they decide which teams go into that game with 4 of the top 5 teams being from the B1G ten. with Texas and Tennessee being the only two SEC teams in the expected title fight for the championship this brings other concerns such as if they will have to fight for the SEC championship or if they will both be added into the playoff bracket due to the conferences imbalances if they were to bring UGA or Alabama in for a surprise bowl game appearance who would they end up matching against? Hopefully, in the coming weeks, all of these questions will be answered by the CFB committee.
Local college football news.
If the Colorado State University Rams can muster up a victory against Fresno State and their upcoming opponent Utah State they will be sent into the Mountain West divisional championship against the Boise State Broncos. If the Rams win they are guaranteed a spot in the national championship playoffs. If CSU can get these three wins this will be the first time they have ever made the national championship playoffs.

Heisman news.
In the latest Heisman news, Ashton Jeanty The Boise State running back has dropped from the front runner in the Heisman race and has now been surpassed by University of Colorado WR/CB Travis Hunter. If Hunter beats Jeanty in the Heisman race he will be the most recent Heisman winner out of Boulder with their last winner being in 1994. With the recent trends, Jeanty is the favorite with +400 odds to win and Hunter at -400. For the last 7 years the more favorable(negative) has been beaten by the player with the + odds which currently gives Ashton Jeanty the edge to win the Heisman.
