sports spotlight: USA Hockey's dominant performance's and former Superbowl winner arrested.

The United States hockey team played Finland and Canada in the 4-nations face off. America had a remarkable performance against Finland with a 6-1 victory over the Finnish hockey team and a 3-1 win over Canada. the Canadian match was the most interesting of the two with three fights taking place in the first 9 seconds of the puck being dropped. Also, fans of the Canada team booed the United States National Anthem when it was played even though the announcer's asked for everyone to respect both countries anthem. America then proceed disassemble the Canadian teams strong defense with three scored goals.

Another event that occurred is former Superbowl winner, Kadarius Toney was arrested in Georgia for allegedly strangling a woman in his home on January 14th. The charges on the first warrant for his arrest state that he, "put his hand around a woman’s throat with enough force to cause her to be unable to breath(e)." The court issued the second warrant stating, "Toney also physically prevented the woman from calling 911, taking away her phone and canceling voice commands while physically assaulting her." Kadarius Toney was cut from the Chiefs practice squad before the start of the 2024 season and landed in Cleveland where he only played three games before he was cut. This unfortunate string of violence by NFL players is just one of the many instances in recent times, including Henry Ruggs III and his DUI crash that killed a woman and injured his pregnant fiancé.
