Poudre Press: Week of January 6th

Welcome back to the Poudre Preview, where we give you a look at the upcoming week at Poudre every Monday. Make sure to check with us, and watch the Friday news to stay informed about events at our school. Let's make it a great week!


Monday: Today is Monday, January 6 and there is no school.


Tuesday: Today is Tuesday, January 7 and it is a A day.


Welcome back impalas! We hope you had a great break! 


FBLA Members, there is a meeting this Thursday at lunch in room 225.  Please check your email about FBLA testing


Seniors! Make sure to pick the staff member who you’d like to hand you your diploma at graduation. The request is due on January 10. And, have you ordered your graduation cap and gown? Well- it’s time! See Mrs. Backurz in counseling for help with either task. 


Good luck to girls swim at today’s meet!


Good luck to the boys and girls basketball team in the conference openers against Greeley west tonight! 


Wednesday: Today is Wednesday, January 8 and it is a B day.

If you are interested in Track and Field, there will be a meeting during lunch in the event center tomorrow Thurs the 9th. 


Congratulations to the girls 200 free relay for qualifying for state swim - Savannah Casady, Maya Scott-Donegan, Hannah Testa and Grace Kunzie.  Also congratulations to Savannah Casady on her state qualification in the 100 freestyle!


Thursday: Today is Thursday, January 9 and it is a A day.

There will be a track and field meeting today in the event center during lunch. 


Good luck to boys wrestling in their match against Greeley West.


We are looking for peer helpers to join the Unified Cheer team! One game and one practice per week. See Emily Brigham or Cindy for more information. We are also looking for students who want to sign up to be a peer helper with the Special Olympics in May. Students will be helping our ILS students compete in track and field events in May! On Friday 1/10, in room 413/411 during lunch, we will be having an informational session for students on these two opportunities. 


Do you have textbooks or class novels from first semester that you’re finished with? Be sure to get them turned into the library as soon as possible.  


eSports starts up a new season on January 21st! Come meet in the library after school for more information and sign ups for our teams!
